Iconic Lady Gaga costumes recreated for Harumika dolls

Who knew the must-have toy of 2011 would enable young girls to fashion their very own Lady Gaga 'meat dress' out of 'finest quality Parma ham'? I mean, who didn't know, right?
Bandai, the Japanese toy company who make 'Harumika' - the mini-mannequin that helps people who can't sew, make like a couturier - are the latest company to get in on the Gaga action, enlisting a London College of Fashion student to recreate a selection of her iconic outfits.

23-year-old Anna Chong has been busy conjuring up nine looks, including the red lace dress and crown Gaga wore to the MTV Video Music Awards, the American flag two-piece that starred in the Telephone video, and the Armani orbit dress of Grammy Awards' fame.
But the pièce de résistance - the Parma ham meat dress - proved hardest, apparently taking Chong two weeks to create, with her grueling search for the perfect cold-cut almost ending in bitter disappointment when salami, honey roasted ham and raw beef strips all failed to cut the mustard.
All this meaty madness was commissioned to promote Harumika at the London Toy Fair, which opens today. Sadly none of the finished outfits are for sale - the whole point of the toy is that you make them yourself - but Chong has thoughtfully filmed a series of step-by-step 'how-to' tutorials for any 'Little Monster' who wants to try this at home.
All you need is a Harumika mannequin and a great local Italian deli, and before you know it, you too could be heading up your own major Parisian fashion house like Lady Gaga's costume designer Nicola Formichetti.
